About Us

Meet our Founder

Angela Long

Dogs have always been a part of my life providing both a source of happiness and purpose. Growing up on a farm in Alberta, Canada, we raised and trained horses with dogs ever present.

During my 39 year nursing career I found incorporating dogs into my practice was a valuable connection with those for which I cared. I credit my therapy dog DJ (RIP), with bringing joy to those in physical and spiritual battles.

My passion is to strengthen bonds between dogs and the people they love, so I turned my focus to training dogs, becoming certified through Catch Canine Trainers Academy's Master class.

As a life long student of canine behavior; I continue to learn from my colleagues, and dogs I train. Attending on-site workshops (most recently at St. Hubert's Shelter in New Jersey) in addition to voluntering with the Animal Rescue League's Behavior training team assures use of science based training methods.

DOGMA-Doctrine of Good Manners Academy-commited to enhancing communication and relationships.
